Dan Duggan is the only person faces any charges to do with his work in South Africa – not the flight school he worked for, not any other trainers. Dan worked a very short contract and flew in 1960s and 70s aircraft.

There were no US warnings or sanctions issued for the flight school until 2024 – 12 years after Dan Duggan had worked his short contract there.

Dan has been charged with US specific laws, even though he was an Australian citizen at the time of his work there. He has been charged with money laundering, even though under Australian law all the work was legal and he paid tax on his wages. The statute of limitations was extended, the indictment kept secret for 5 years.

The flight school had a great reputation in 2012, many international pilots worked there and both the Australian and UK governments declared that their citizens who worked there during that time broke no laws.

Dan is being scapegoated.
