throwback to this iconic madridista flying across the world cup ready to sell his soul (and probably his season ticket) to convince one teenager that los blancos was his destiny lmfao
Jordan Henderson delivers a powerful endorsement of Jude Bellingham. Describes him as England’s “X factor” and a great team-mate. “I’m sure he will have a big impact for us at this tournament. Six years ago, I gave him his first cap. How much he's grown, as a player and as a person, since then, is incredible, really.
“I had a good idea when I first saw him training. What he's done so far at such a young age…we forget how young he is (22). Sometimes, we do rondos, and it's the youngest in (first)…and he's always one of the first in the middle to go in. “It just reminds us how young he is. I couldn't, honestly, speak high enough of him.
“A lot gets written (about Bellingham) in the media and I find it hard to read sometimes because I just know how big an influence he is on this team, how good a team-mate he is off the field. And what he gives us is just something really special, really. He really gives us the X factor in our team. He's had big moments in his career. He's a big-game player. He's got experience in tournaments. So he's a huge, huge player for us in this tournament.
“If you ask any player in the group, they'll tell you how much of a good team-mate he is, how well he trains. I know he's young, but he's very mature in his head. He helps young players, new players that are coming in. How he was in the pre-camp with Rio (Ngumoha), Josh King, Alex Scott and Ethan (Nwaneri). How he relates with those players, nobody (outside) sees that. They all look up to him.
“And he gave Rio his cap after the (New Zeland) game which just gives you a little insight to what he is like behind the scenes. I do think a lot of the media and the stuff that gets written isn't all true, to be honest, or a lot of it is actually untrue. But for us, we all know what he can do and how much we all love him inside the camp.” #ENG

Jordan Henderson on Jude Bellingham's impact on the England squad ahead of their World Cup opener on Wednesday ⭐️
Jordan Henderson on Jude Bellingham and Morgan Rogers 🗣️ :
“The media of course is gonna highlight certain positions, certain players and certain roles, But for us it doesn't matter whether you start and whether you coming or not, Everybody is got a role to play, and that's the most important thing for us.
For me the way I see it is there two top players that I certainly wouldn't wanna be playing against either of them, really. There's so much ability on the ball, so good off the ball, athletic, physical, can score….so that I have everything in the locker to produce big moments for us as a team.
The good thing is they're very close as well, They've known each other since they were very young, I know they'll support each other like everybody else in the squad will throughout this tournament… but for me they've both got a big role to play in this tournament.”
giving the world cup to the usa was a stupid decision.
this tournament was supposed to bring the world together. instead we’re talking about shootings, visa issues, travel restrictions and whether fans from certain countries will even be able to attend
People who don't actually watch Real Madrid games have no idea the team creates far more chances for him every single match. He’ll squander most of them, finally score one and everyone will say “he’s doing his job” while the team gets blamed for not being creative enough for him.
