Reflecting on my reaction to the comment/paper, I won't mention the name of the paper because I do not want to promote it, but I will say that it raises significant concerns. For example:
It is also true that I found an amazing group of scholars – mostly brown/white women/queer from the global north and south– who make me feel at home, who do want something different from academia, and who are working very hard to achieve it.
