did yall know that soap operas are called soap operas bc way back when, when the radio played actors performing drama stories, before the radios played music, the commercials were almost always for soap?
anyway, i start my last semester of grad school next month. the entire semester is dedicated to my research paper: “children who are well fed perform better academically, socially and emotionally”
You can't imagine a world where you lead with kindness with black kids, especially boys and young girls, bc you can't acknowledge how much of the white man's disdain for us got whipped/whupped into you generationally, so you just repeat the same sad song.
Do other moms pass up getting things for yourself because you see how expensive it is? Hub wanted subs for dinner tonight so I get them for kids and him and just 3 little ones is already $18.. his is $10.. plus tax. I say no thanks, I’ll eat leftovers. So I don’t get a sub sandwich because I don’t think I should be wasting money like that. (Even though it’s my husband’s money) 🫤 which then makes me feel left out but really it’s my own choice, but I feel like we really shouldn’t be paying to eat out at all so I’m the one sacrificing and being financially responsible. Am I alone in this? What would you do?
