everytime something new and crazy happens, I end up stress retweeting, then clearing up my profile so it's not covered in stress retweets, and then rinse repeat
@lydiaetc oh no!!!! I’m so so so sorry to hear this Lyd, you thrived so much in that role and I hope that an equally great or better one is ahead of you very soon ❤️🩹
the only reason to prevent people working from home is the commercial landlords are losing money on their offices, and people are realising that a specific type of manager simply doesn’t have much to do all day unless they’re watching other people work and it embarrasses them
I need y’all to remember that BIPOC, most prominently Latiné based on CDC data, are living with #LongCovid, and largely undiagnosed, unsupported, and are being sucked into disability poverty.
Ty @Univision for choosing this question to be asked.
@tiredguineapig I am seeing the most popular Long Covid doctor at the NYU Langone Post-Covid clinic, and he also doesn’t believe MCAS is a thing…I am honestly so shocked and part of me wants to educate him, and the other part is furious and wants someone else to do it
@SalvMattera@LarmaKarma I’m in vision rehab therapy to address this very issue! Like PT but for eyes, you do vision exercises (harder versions of your typical yearly eye exam). Assessed by a neuro-optometrist, who works w head trauma patients, usually post car crash, but more LC folks too now
OMG a lot of people are getting MAJOR opportunities and upgrades with this eclipse energy!!! I wasn’t expecting that from this one but okkkkkk let’s go
As a doctor, I’m disappointed in my colleagues for ignoring Long COVID. I made a resource to educate them and the public. Check out this resource at @thesicktimes https://t.co/2S2JfWMJtF
@nbakercahill Covid scrambles the wiring for so many bodily functions, so the idea is to help your wiring for smell function “disentangle itself” or “remember” how it used to run
@nbakercahill I lost my sense of smell for about three weeks (minuscule in comparison to your experience), but learned of “smell training” where you deeply breathe the scent of strong oils/spices (lavender, cinnamon, cloves, etc) every morning and night for 5-10 mins, I think it helped me!
So many people aren't engaging with Long Covid discourse because they'd rather not think about it possibly happening to them, but the odds are getting higher and higher - over 40% for a third infection.
To the many getting c19 for the 1st time:
- Sorry to hear it! Hoping for your fast recovery.
- Good job delaying this long! We have treatment, know more about limiting household spread, etc.
- Go easy on yourself, physically and mentally. Stress & worry don't help the healing!🧵
