Spoke w/ Gail Attara (@GISociety) on a panel at MedAccessBC Forum in April. Joined by Cassandra Niemen (advocate + now living with MS) + former BC Health Minister Terry Lake, we discussed how to improve access to medications by pushing for patient-centered policies. There are good new meds available, yet coverage issues and delays in approval mean meds can't be used by those who will benefit. Quoting Gail: "Policies that require you to try and fail older, less effective medications before you can get to advanced therapies must end." I encourage people to advocate for better access to new meds by writing letters to MPs. #BCpoli #healthcare
