The Git'luuhl'um'hetxwit are a house group in the Gitxsan Nation. We assert full authority over our ancestral territories of Xsu Wil Masxwit and Xsi Wis An Skit
“Taking shots from the sidelines without understanding the impact on Indigenous peoples, the impact on our climate plan." Says @jjhorgan about @MarkRuffalo, who unlike Horgan, has actually taken the time to meet directly with Wet'suwet'en Hereditary Chiefs

Had another interesting exchange with my former gas pipeline engineer friend this morning on #TMX & #CGL. You may recall he has high-level Cdn & internat'l experience designing/building pipelines. He's upset Canada would dump failing #TMX onto First Nations.. #cdnpoli#bcpoli
We had big plans to host karaoke nights and kids' bike clinics this spring. The LBMCC could also serve as an emergency shelter for unhoused community members, or guests helping build cabins on our lax yip.
We will find another way to raise funds for building materials.
Today @GoFundMe shut down our fundraiser for a longhouse on wheels, before we had a chance to launch it.
The "Landback mobile command centre" was to be a distribution point for food, supplies and educational material that we could tow around the Gitxsan villages.
I have a question for Twitter: How long until an injuction is granted against the convoy, including legally dubious RCMP exclusion zones, with journalists being arrested for reporting, and homes being burnt down without investigation by assault rifle wielding police officers?

"This is not a matter to be resolved in the judiciary, these are international matters in which the crown has an obligation to meet directly with our leaders. We are sovereign people.” - Kolin

“This fight is far from over, those RCMP officers don’t belong here,” he says. “This is unceded Gitxsan Laxyip and over there is unceded Wet’suwet’en Yintah and they will know that there are consequences for their actions." - Kolin
This is the cultural and political climate being fostered by the #bcndp. This is what happens when you justify violence against Indigenous peoples in order to protect the interests of private corporations like CN Rail and Coastal GasLink.
Worst of all, is the burning down of Wet'suwet'en homes and the destruction of personal belongings by CGL. This includes ceremonial and cultural items of the Wet'suwet'en people. The RCMP allows this to happen with impunity, and the CGL workers seem to delight in these actions.
We are witnessing increasing settler vigilantism down at Fairy Creek and on Wet'suwet'en Yintah. Loggers assaulting peaceful protesters, CGL heavy machine operators nearly skewering media vehicles with forklifts while yelling "I got one" on the radio.
