There are lots of nuanced conversations that aren’t being had now that the rains are here.
Did you know that many autistic children are naturally drawn to rain and water? Research shows that water engages multiple of their senses at once — the sound, movement, temperature, and visual patterns can feel calming and regulating to them.
However, autistic children are also more likely to wander, which can increase their risk around water. During the rainy season, it’s important for parents and caregivers to be especially cautious about children’s proximity to puddles, pools, and streams.
Here are ways we can keep our children safe during the rainy season:
1. Supervise closely.
2. Teach clear water boundaries.
3. Stay alert near puddles, pools, and streams.
4. In the long run, get them used to the feeling of water by introducing everyday water activities like washing small cloth items, watering plants, washing dishes, and even getting them involved in swimming lessons.
Look after each other. #VIP

A friend told me that now that they've had a child, her husband can't bear to watch movies in which bad things happen to kids. Same here. That was one of the most surprising things about having children. You're not just protective of your own children, but children in general.
Wildlife are beautiful creatures but some humans are too busy to make them distinct. We must rise above and protect their ecosystem. Together we will conquer and rescue the 8th Wonder of the world, the great Maasai Mara from destruction.
To all who enjoy Safari and the wildlife in our great Maasai Mara, let us protect it from destruction of the greediness of hotels which have been built in critical areas that are distressing the wildlife ecosystem & their way of living. We need demolitions of such hotels.
