@sholard_mancity The residents of these counties where such corruption happens will easily get physical with you if you should dare question their leaders. Even those who are educated and supposedly enlightened. I choose to not be bothered by the theft.
We know nobody will be jailed and the cases will drag in the courts for years, that is if any prosecution ensues. Well done for diverting attention from IEBC re-registration directive.
The swift action taken by the government through the directorate of CID in the troubling fuel scam shows the government's commitment and unwavering stand to fight corruption. This fuel scam has two principal players: (a) the public officials in the Energy ministry and the (b) two private companies and their directors. I'MALREADY hHEARING OF A SCHEME to make one or two peripheral directors of the companies as scapegoats/sacrificial lambs and leave out the principal directors out because of their clout and influence. Both the CID Directorate and the ODPP must follow the law and prosecute ALL THE DIRECTORS of the two companies WITHOUT FAIL. Mr. Renson Igonga, who has done an excellent job in the office of @ODPP_KE must ensure that the prosecution file forwarded to him by the @DCI_Kenya LEAVES OUT NO DIRECTOR of the two companies. He must know that if he selectively prosecute a few directors and leave out the brains and souls behind the companies, Kenyans will COME AFTER HIM AND RIGHTLY BLAME HIM FOR PROTECTING CORRUPT OLIGARCHS. With elections in few months, the government must take this as a test case and establish its credentials by telling Kenyans that they are no sacred cows. Moreover, this is a case both the @LawSocietyofKe and the Senior Counsel Bar should take interest to see how this goverment deals with corrupt oligarchs and their surrogates in government.
