@LifeWithoutLack@EthanByerly I’ve never been comfortable with big events that do ‘church’ with the lights out, apart from the stage. We don’t do that on a Sunday in the local church so why when gathered in an arena? (And don’t get me started about “gig worship”: it’s one or the other but not both together!).
@LifeWithoutLack@EthanByerly I worked on a few events in the UK and Europe in the early 2000s that Don Potter and the MS Band led worship at. Once I came to realise why he positioned himself on stage as he did, I really appreciated his reasoning.

@creva@Andy_Coates@WisewordRadio But the idea of other places for people to gather to interact is a good one. The sort of thing #church(es) could provide, and be used for? 😉 😇
@creva@Andy_Coates I - @WisewordRadio - going to respectfully slightly disagree with good friend @creva on this. Self-service: great for quick shops. Scanning: takes me twice the time! But how about us being the only smile/nice chat/God revealed a frazzled, harassed till person will get that day?
