Very tempted to follow @MartinSLewis advice and switch bank as @LloydsBank has inexplicably removed the nicknames I've used on my various accounts and cards for the last 35+ years in online banking. Why?
@LloydsBank It's still completely incomprehensible! What possible reason is there for such a 'business decision'? And - as you're probably aware - if you deal with someone's accounts with power of attorney you cannot use the app
@LloydsBank I don't think so - I've already had a letter from the complaints department saying I just have to put up with it, there's no longer an option to use nicknames in online banking
@GergelyOrosz This sounds like the book publishing world, where it's now so easy to print on demand and almost impossible to know what's a good book and what's rubbish!

@Madz_Grant We left London nearly 40 years ago because we didn't want to bring up a family in the city - as many of our contemporaries did. It's not a new thing!
@nmrqip One thing that's not taken into account is that many physics graduates don't have the temperament to be successful teachers... Much though I love them/us of course...
@nmrqip Fortunately things have moved on significantly in the last xxx years! Some camp beds at the recent NEC show were more comfy than my bed at home, for example, but you definitely need the right kit for the conditions
