I have never worn a wig

I may never wear one till Jesus comes. But that’s just me

A whole lot of women love wigs and wear them

Some say it’s very convenient

Some say it affords them freedom to up and go without doing too much

Some just love how they look with a wig on and that’s valid.

My post yesterday had nothing to do with liking or not liking wigs or what each woman chooses to which was why I said “ a lot” of women not all women

Which was why I did not just mention wigs. I also mentioned skin colour but somehow you all disagreeing did not touch that one

So let’s go to school a bit and unpack this discuss a bit more

I mentioned that I had a problem with the version of wig wearing that is used to hide our hair.

I mean black hair. Kinky, coily, shrinky, you get the gist .

Some said it was the styling problem and not a natural hair problem

But Sister Marie bliss styled hers too. She wore a full face of makeup and somehow a lot of black Nigerian women still felt she did not do enough for her big day.

All of a sudden we want to pretend we don’t know that many times, a black womans hair is not considered “made” until it’s tamed

Our hair that is naturally curly and kinky is a raw material that must be processed and relaxed to oblivion and flat ironed till its proteins are denatured before society considers it “styled”

The doctor in question was not doing surgery. She was not in a professional capacity. She was doing a photoshoot and left her hair in a twist out.

And some people called her mad. Because her hair was not laid sleek

Have you asked yourself what birth relaxers?

Have you asked yourself what birth flat irons?

Are you aware that a lot of women are fired from their work place because an Afro is considered a political statement and too intense for a work environment?

But a Scottish woman with wild red curly hair is considered ethereal

This is the same mindset that birth cancer causing whitening cream. And brightening. And lightening

Because one of the yokes the colonial masters dropped on our shoulders is that you’re not good enough if you don’t look like a white woman

A lot of Nigerians are still colourists. A light skinned baby is considered more cute and we still check the ears of a new born to see if they would darken with time.

Because black is dirty

A dark armpit is gross. Your dark inner thighs are disgusting

I’m passionate about fashion. Fashion is not just clothes.

It starts from inside. It starts from loving yourself, seeing yourself as beautiful.

The clothes we wear, the accessories, the hair , the skin, they are all just to accentuate who we already are inside.

And as a society we should be open to relearning ourselves dropping the shackles we still hold from the era when black men were seen as no better than cattle.

But that is the actual reason I engage you. Do you know this God? Do you answer to Him?

You constantly compare Tinubu with Peter Obi, and each time you claim he is astronomically more intelligent and competent than he is.

That right there is a shockwave against many Nigerians.

If you say the man who is ravaging them with unprecedented poverty, insecurity, and hellish living conditions;

is better than the man who objectively has integrity, empathy, compassion, a record of political uprightness, and statistically proven governance that only enriched lives-

then you are telling them the architect of their suffering is somehow justified in the hell he is unleashing on them.

Blessing, that is what you have done. You have called evil good.

Do you know what Scripture says about that?

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20

Blessing, I will even steelman your argument.

Let’s say you localize Tinubu’s “intelligence” to the economy.

You are here telling Nigerians that the man whose policies have wiped out the middle class is intelligent?

Blessing, the man you praise, deducted around 34 trillion naira, 41% of federal revenue, before it landed in the federal accounts.

This man awarded around 15 trillion naira in unbidded contracts to a man with whom he has affiliations.

Blessing, the reforms of the man you praise have now brought the number of Nigerians in poverty to 129 million.

That’s like the whole of:

Germany (84M)
Netherlands (18M)
Belgium (12M)
Austria (9M)
Denmark (6M)

not being able to afford food.

Blessing, you praise that man, and you are a Christian.

That is why people keep mentioning your name.

It is as though your heart is cold and dark, and you will praise evil even as it crushes millions with silent pain.

Finally, you put Tinubu on a moral pedestal that is like stamping their heads mercilessly into the dust.

You put him beside Peter Obi. Now, no one says you should like him.

But imagine someone poisons the well of a town, and 3,000 children and women drink from it, killing them all.

Corpses litter everywhere. Bodies bloated and black, flies hovering over their cold, dead eyes.

Then there is another man in the same town who actually adopted 16 homeless children and raised them healthily.

Imagine comparing these because the man who killed 3,000 by poisoning the well built a bus stop for drivers to load passengers.

That is what you do with Tinubu and Peter Obi.

This man is overseeing the death of your fellow Nigerians at the hands of terrorists.

Like, he literally does not care.

Blessing, girls your age and peers are being raped by dirty, drugged bandits in turns.

One called her father not to bother paying the ransom.

She had already been violated by them and would kill herself.

Tinubu’s Defence Chief calls those who do that their brothers and sons.

You praise the man responsible for that. Children are in captivity now. Babies.

You praise the man who could not spare 10 minutes to visit those slaughtered in Jos.

Again, you will say you will not vote for him.

But you praise him, and constantly compare him with an objectively good and clean man whose government transformed lives.

Peter has donated around 300 to 500 million naira to schools and hospitals.

You, Blessing, compare that to a man whose son wears a 340 million naira Richard Mille while a teacher was beheaded in captivity.

That, Blessing, is the reason many see you as almost soulless.

I am sorry for the harsh term. But that is what it looks like.

Lastly, you said I will answer to God. I will, indeed.

But the question is: you, with these things you proudly, boastfully, and defiantly support, do you know that God?

Pastor Adeboye emptied the infrastructures of their fellowships in the North East campuses into the IDPs in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa.

When we got to Borno in 2017, we met empty spaces. I wrote a letter to him from Maiduguri, I told him all we needed, running into millions of naira. He sent the money to us. Everything I wrote in the letter was sent. I would write to him every quarter giving him update about all of us in the fellowship and request additional money. He will still send it.😅

I coordinated one of his largest intervention program in Maiduguri. A training and certification course for students in Architecture, Urban planning etc… thousands of students from Ramat Polytechnic, University of Maiduguri etc… it was one of his programs to uplift a society battered by insurgencies and the economy of the state crashed. A program meant to give a future to them by upgrading their skillset.

His greatest strength of not showing off is the reason many people, even his church members do not know 2% of his works.

Understanding Public Frustration While Recognizing the Wrong Target: Pastor E.A. Adeboye Is Not Our Problem

No, Pastor Adeboye is not our problem. He speaks.

He spoke in the 1990s.
He spoke in the early 2000s.
He spoke in 2010.
He spoke in 2020.
He spoke in 2025.

He has spoken across administrations, regardless of who governed or governs as President. The real question is:

How many of us were listening?

Did I hear you ask, “What did he say, and when?”

I will share two of the most relevant examples- not only because they are factual, but because they embody the pathway forward for our beleaguered country, if we are finally ready to listen, act, and compel our government to lead the reforms Pastor Adeboye has long advocated.

1. November 2025 - A Direct Public Message to President Tinubu

Contrary to the misinformation circulating online, Pastor Adeboye’s strong message was delivered in November 2025, during the Holy Ghost Service- not this week.

He said:

“You can only advise the Commander‑in‑Chief; you cannot command him. But I’ve tried. God is my witness.”
“Tell our security chiefs to get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign.”
He added:
“They must eliminate the terrorists and their sponsors, no matter how influential.”

These are not the words of a passive observer.
These are the words of a citizen - an influential leader - demanding results, accountability, and consequences for failure.

This is the same Pastor Adeboye some are attacking today.

He issued one of the strongest public demands for accountability ever made by a Nigerian religious leader. But how many of us were listening? What did the President do with that message? And what did we do with it?

2. October 1, 2020 - A Public Call for Structural Reform

At a national governance forum co‑organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and the Nehemiah Leadership Institute to mark Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary, Pastor Adeboye critiqued our dysfunctional governance structure:

“It is ridiculous that a traditional ruler must inform a local government chairman before he travels.”

He went further:

“We all know that we must restructure. It is either we restructure or we break. You don’t have to be a prophet to know that. Now, we don’t want to break up - God forbid.”

He proposed a “United States of Nigeria” - a governance model with a President and a Prime Minister, rooted in institutional effectiveness.

These are not the words of a man indifferent to Nigeria’s future.

Nigeria is structurally dysfunctional. As presently constituted, cycles of elections without correcting the underlying structure will only degrade - but God forbid- collapse this country.

Now that we know - from just two of his many significant public statements that Pastor Adeboye has long been speaking truth to power on the hydra-headed crises that cripple our nation‑building process, the real question becomes:

What are we all now going to do about it?

“Shall these bones live?”
Like Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones, we stand in a moment of national reckoning.
The bones can live - but only if we act.

It is time for Nigerians to let the image of our 2‑year‑old baby held captive by our common enemies galvanize us to collectively rescue that child and through her rescue our nation.

The answer, my compatriots, is in our own hands.
