🐻 We feel really grateful for your welcoming hearts, but we'd like you to refrain from coming to the hotel if possible. We don't really want to share where we're staying and it affects our condition for the concert and so we make this request of you. And as we go on our tour, it's really important to us to be able to try out delicious restaurants, walk along streets, and comfortably enjoy those countries. I hope there won't be any more times when you come to our hotels. We ask for your understanding!
LIKE ANIMALS is the ultimate (suppressed) CALL OUT to Structural Pressure & Systemic Trap.
Society as a Performance Cage:
The transition from human socialisation to animalistic survival is a direct result of structural failures within modern institutions.
In a hyper-connected world, individuals are constantly surveilled and evaluated. This creates an environment where pausing to rest equates to falling behind, forcing a state of perpetual momentum. Social structures treat human beings as capital or commodities. When worth is tied entirely to productivity, the emotional and psychological needs of the individual are systematically discarded.
1. Systemic Dehumanization and the Politics of Instinct: When structural pressures become absolute, the system triggers a regression in human behavior, shifting from conscious living to raw instinct.
2. The Politics of Instinct: By reducing human life to basic survival instincts; fight, flight, freeze, or fawn; the ruling structures neutralize political resistance. A population consumed by immediate survival lacks the collective energy to challenge the status quo.
‘Don't you close your eyes, Don't you fear the light, All night’ —this captures the exhaustion of a system that never sleeps, reminiscent of a system, where letting your guard down means elimination.
‘Eat this life 'til your heart is full, If you want, you can have it all’ —Hyper-capitalism functions on a scarcity mindset. It tells us we must “consume or be consumed,” aggressively competing for resources.
RM points out that beneath this artificial floor ‘six feet down in the sand,’ wild things are actively digging holes to bypass the system entirely. Seeking “beauty outside control” is a political act. It is a direct rebellion against the corporate panopticon, asserting that true human value exists only where the system cannot reach.
The themes found in this analysis mirror dystopian narratives where structural dehumanization is literalized for entertainment and control. What does this remind you of? What structure?
Hunger Games. Dystopia: “The odds are never in our favour.”
The Capitol forces children into an artificial ecosystem where they must literally hunt one another. This acts as an extreme allegory for the modern job market and high-stakes educational systems. Just as the Tributes must perform, look appealing, and secure sponsors while fighting for their lives, modern individuals must curate their digital personas and “personal brands” while struggling financially. Survival is televised, monetized, and judged.
What does that^ remind you of? 👀
Society strips away human dignity but rewards the ‘beast-like’ work ethic. The phrase ‘working like an animal’ becomes normalized, framing self-destruction as a corporate virtue.
ⓘ I have used hunger game here as just a reference for a structure similar in this context.. more critical interpretations are welcomed in the replies.

Wonderful article about Jimin's Dior look including remarks of how his hair length and cut added just the right touch.
You know they've done their research when they talk about the fact Jimin's mom loves his long hair.

Namjoon having tears in his eyes after winning Artist of the year at the AMAs.☹️
🐨:Wow, I'm so grateful. It's been five years since we last received this award. To be honest... When we enlisted what scared me the most was that people might turn away from us, but you've given our album so much love and we're even able to go on tour again, so this feels like an incredibly moving and honorable moment.
“Merry Go Round” doesn’t try to sell us any easy escape from all of this, and that’s exactly why it’s beautiful. The video’s all-black-and-white palette captures the absolute dullness of the regular, yet, despite the gloom and the grainy aesthetics, it never feels hopeless. There’s a strength in the way BTS inhabit these spaces, showing that simply surviving the cycle is a victory in itself. It’s a beautiful extension of the message they have carried for years: that it’s fine to feel lost, exhausted, and burdened on the ride because we are all carrying this burden together.
