As an Ease of doing business initiative, an Exporters’ trade facilitation centre to provide hand holding for the exporters was inaugurated by Shri Mohan Kumar Singh IRS, Member (CM), CBIC at ICD, Chettipalayam, Tiruppur, Tamilnadu today i.e,12.06.2025.

The portal developed by AEPC is a first of its kind public private initiative aimed at hand holding and improving the ease of doing business for the exporters of Tiruppur to ensure quick clearance of export cargo and resolving issues faced by them.@cbic_india @FinMinIndia

On the evening of 21.07.25, around 1500 hrs, Tuticorin Customs Cat-I Patrol Vessel spotted a capsized fishing boat east of the Anchorage area. Another boat was struggling to tow it due to strong winds. Customs staff quickly rescued the fishermen and towed the boat to harbour.
