@DeflationGuy @Beringia2023 @minordissent IMO it does elevate commitment and help connect on values. Values not as "we both value kindness" or "we're both liberals", but of a higher order (akin to meaning).

Then commit and put this commitment above everything else. Values should match at deepest level (ideally someone from same Church).
