@oising It is distributed, state full, long lived in memory state, user level threading, multi hop async RPCs with exception propogation.
Distributed C# or programmable cache are some of the quick buzzwords we tried to stick to it.

@RogerAlsing @SnowflakeDB But shortly, at it's core, it is Managed Olap database. For DB people that pretty much defines it precisely.
Nowadays it also does much much more, like data sharing, running python directly on the data and much more.

Funny...I built a workflow system in Google that was used to provision (among others) Spinnaker clusters. It's turtles all the way down.
