The world has gotten soft by mistaking affirmation for love. We are called to love others, but there is nothing less loving than affirming people in their sin. We shouldn’t affirm homosexuality. We shouldn’t affirm other religions. People must know they are sinners to be saved.
I was listening to a Voddie Baucham sermon this morning where he was preaching on 1st John 2, and it is so relevant. We live in a culture where “christians” live by the phrase “love is love”. This scripture crushes that ideology, and talks about how loving the world is sinful.
@BrooksAustinBA Notre Dame feels like the closest thing to it. Weird things can always happen in CFB, but I can’t see a world where they go any worse than 11-1.
Just finished Season 1 of Sons of Anarchy. Watching these people you root for make life choices that you can’t come back from is painful, yet I understand all of them because it’s so deeply woven into who they are. Jax is as good as it gets as a lead. I’ve never been so locked.
@SleeperBraves We are 48-30 and among the top 5 teams in baseball without Schwellenbach, Acuna, Murphy, Smith-Shawver and Jimenez. And we’ve had several guys vastly underperform. If you don’t think Walt is doing a fantastic job, not sure what to tell you.
As an avid CBB guy, it sucks to see these big time programs lose coaches to the NBA. But I don’t blame Dusty at all for making the best decision for his career. He’s a fantastic coach and put together one of the best teams I’ve ever seen at Michigan. Elite at developing bigs.
Breaking: Michigan coach Dusty May is finalizing a deal to take the Dallas Mavericks head coaching job, sources tell @PeteThamel, @ShamsCharania and @AdamSchefter.
Massive win tonight for Atlanta against a really good Brewers team. You don’t expect to end a 3 game skid in a game Misiorowski starts, but that’s just the nature of baseball. Compete and execute. Truist Park was electric tonight. One of the more fun games I’ve seen in person.
