This guy stopped playing video games.
He went to great clips and cut off his lettuce.
He took a shower.
Cleaned his car.
Signed up for a yoga class.
Went to the yoga class.
Asked this cute girl at the yoga class for her number.
Followed up within 2 days for a Friday night date.
Then he got dinner reservations, and planned for mini golf after, told her everything they're going to do, and then rolled off the couch for the date.
He brought flowers to her doorstep. He bought two different kinds of flowers from Trader Joe's.
He opened all the doors, paid for everything, only asked her about her life and acted super interested in whatever she said about it.
He then found his forever wifey!
Guy who is happily married gives simple and actionable advice on dating.
Public response: Ok boomer who’s chained to his wife way to be disconnected from reality.
And we wonder why divorce rates are what they are.
I watched my parents and many other happy couples, tried my best to emulate their examples, and I couldn’t be happier.
I hope my kids do the same. So far my oldest is. But don’t share that, they’ll tell you how wrong you are.
I met my wife through friends. Our friends were dating and they lined us up.
When I saw her the first time she immediately started making fun of me for shaving my arms and legs. I told her about the benefits of being aerodynamic. She asked if I was a swimmer or cyclist? “Nah dawg I do drive thrus for a living.”
My heart skipped a few beats when I met her. She was beautiful and it was fun getting to know her.
I asked if she was available on Friday (2 days later) and she told me she was. I told her to be ready at 5 and plan to be outdoors for the night in the woods.
I picked her up at 5 and she was wearing heels. We spent a few minutes locating appropriate footwear and we were off.
We drove to a lovely spot in the mountains with a group of 12 other couples. There I taught a quick gun safety class. I then handed out earplugs + eye protection. While one of my buddies handled one shotgun shooter at a time I threw trap / clay pigeons. Many of these gals had never shot a gun before. When they got through a round or two and started to figure out how to hit clay pigeons it was a riot. They loved it.
Everyone hit some pigeons. Everyone got a chance to shoot multiple times.
Then we got a few campfires going. Once we had coals I broke out the hot dogs and wrapped croissant dough around the dogs. Everyone got a chance to cook their pig in a blanket over the campfire. We hung out under the stars for a bit while one of our buddies played his guitar.
We took the girls home with everyone a bit dirty, dusty, and tired. This date night was a success. It’s what led me to get date 2 with my wife. It required a decent amount of planning but was well under $100 per person.
It gave everyone an opportunity to communicate with their date and have no real world distractions of tv’s, music, etc. An opportunity to connect with each other one on one and have a lot of fun as a group.
