i'm no fan of IG, but it genuinely feels like i am running out of places to share my art. tumblr is great but it could go down at any moment, and i'd be left with no platform at all. this has all felt very distressing.
at the moment, X feels like the most hostile place to artists. i'm also shifting more towards original art due to my negative feelings towards modern fan spaces, and X is very fandom-centric.
i'm also (slowly) working on a neocities to post my less family-friendly art freely.
@Lychee_Soju i wish they had a clear public list of what products they provide, materials, holographic options etc, to actually know what's possible to make through their site, because i'm curiousss
@Lychee_Soju ohhh interesting, i hadn't heard about them until today? i don't see much info on their site about where and how the products are manufactured, but this is a cool concept
@Lychee_Soju so it's either "include USA customers and risk having their merch in limbo for months" or "never do niche fandom projects at all"- and both options are depressing
@Lychee_Soju it really is a losing situation for everyone. a solid half of my audience is in the US, and even with them included, hellsing is so niche that these sold barely just enough not to be a financial loss- they weren't for profit to begin with, but yeowch
@ahinevaeh thank you haha, i got into funamusea around 2014 and never really left :') one of the fanbooks pictured has my art in it! i don't connect much with the fandom nowadays but i'm still very passionate about the source
loook loooook !!! ⸜( ´ ꒳ ` )⸝
