Agree 100%. IUDs are also lifesavers for heavy, painful periods, precancerous changes, endometriosis, and yes, birth control.

I treat hundreds of young women and girls w/ oral contraceptives.

OCPs are one of the best (if not THE best) tools that I have.

My patients need OCPs to prevent severe anemia requiring transfusion and avoid horrific life disrupting bleeding.

@jessadill @alicia41517383 @cstampeen @DrJenGunter Pregnancy carries risks of life threatening blood clots, hypertensive disorders, hemorrhage, stroke, and death. Far, far more dangerous than any birth control out there. Or ending said pregnancy with abortion for that matter.
