My middle school daughters did this 20+ years ago … we just ignored it as a “phase” and moved forward. All grown adults, we have great relationship with all (& they still do weird stuff we find unsettling but who cares??)

@BrandonStraka I believe it could be $3k; I was at Walmart 3 wks ago, behind a family of 9, used 11 SNAP cards to purchase $1,700 groceries (I guess Cali is giving every minor in CA a summer snack card?). Then another $470 in cash for booze & beers w/$100 bills. OK. (Only 3 registers open so).
