Accountant by profession. Sensible and principled by nature. Love the amazing humour on here but hate the nastiness. Long time fan of American Football 🏈 .
@liambyrnemp Who says the argument for devolution has been won? Many aspects of devolution have been a disaster. Additional layers of expensive bureaucracy; the nonsense that some basic services are 'free' in one country and not another; and the disjointed Covid response, to name but three.
@karlrgibson1@DanNeidle No real cost in making them the same figure then. And go back to having tax on interest deducted at source and lots of people will be removed from having to worry about submitting a tax return which I am sure I remember was a goal of HMRC.
@liambyrnemp The failure of Keir Starmer to act decisively on this (together with other scandals such as nuclear testing and contaminated blood) has been the biggest disappointment to me. I expected so much better from him. I think he surrounded himself with extremely poor advisors.
@bazcol@paullewismoney@HMRCgovuk 🤣 🤣 🤣 at communicating easily with HMRC. I bother because I am diligent and thorough and I then make a decision as to whether any difference is worth challenging. I do not understand your lack of understanding.
@coffeemadman@Ben_Everitt@AvantiWestCoast It sounds like they didn't tell him that his train wasn't going to leave until well after the other train had left. That happens all the time because 'customer' communication is pretty woeful.
