Ok, so here's the deal:

The Taliban are planning to use the Hamas playbook from A-Z in case of a war with Pakistan.

They, like most other jihadi groups around the world, have taken a very positive view of the Hamas playbook.

How it's going to work:

The Taliban will be looking to turn civilian infrastructure in Afghanistan into military infrastructure. If Pakistan strikes it, they will use the inevitable collateral in their narrative to push back against Pakistan.

Hamas knew it cannot militarily defeat Israel. Its strategy was to use the media and legal warfare against Israel to delegitimize the Jewish state.

Taliban will be following the same strategy. They know they actually cannot militarily defeat Pakistan. Their strategy will revolve around running an insurgency in Pakistan by sending suicide bombers and activating their sleeper cells while turning every casualty in Afghanistan into "hapless women and kids dying". The idea will be to present themselves as the downtrodden Muslims who are being massacred by this invading large force next door. I also expect the Taliban to hit soft targets in Pakistan and declare them false flags by Pakistan itself. They did it in the case of APS school massacre after all.

The idea will be to push back against Pakistan via media, diplomatic and possibly legal warfare. The Taliban will also hope that this strategy will make what I call the Muslim Street more sympathetic to the Taliban against Pakistan.

Oh, and don't expect the Taliban militants to be using their uniforms if a proper war breaks out. The first thing they will dump will be their uniforms, just like Hamas.

If a proper war breaks out, Pakistan will soon find out why I have been warning of the ripple effects of Oct 7th attacks in the jihadi world. They have been learning, and they will apply that model in other places.

what you need to look out for in the Iran conflict is either:

1. Iranian anti IRCG militias being armed in the form of baloch and kurd rebels. or

2. Israeli special forces being deployed.

Without either of these factors i dont see Iran falling that easily.

Pakistan needs to be very worried if Baloch militias get armed by the Israeli's, because this essentially means that Pakistan is next on the chopping block.
