I'm a huge fan of rules being applied consistently across a tournament.
How is Enzo supposed to know that a tackle like that is going to get a second yellow card when those calls have not been made against Argentina for the whole tournament?
Completely understand his shock.
Argentina 🇦🇷 this World Cup:
➡️ ONLY team not to have a single VAR intervention against them
➡️ Most - fouls of ANY team
➡️ 0 Red Cards
➡️ Most - Pens awarded
➡️ Most - opponents goals disallowed
➡️ Most - opponents yellow cards
➡️ Least - travel distance

I’ve played MMA for quite a while now. And a back of the head hit (called a rabbit punch) is illegal even in combat sports. Not in football apparently.
When I think of "the left" I also think of all the countries where the far left has brought about the economic immiseration of everyone by centrally concentrating power in a way that also makes extreme authoritarian abuses a matter of when, not if.
Argentina have an absurdly one-sided VAR record at the World Cup: zero interventions against them and the highest favourable decision rate among the semi-finalists. England have the worst VAR record of the four teams. England will be up against Argentina + VAR in the semi-final.
The ball hit the FIFA Skycam shortly before England's equalizer vs. Norway.
"We've spoken to Mark Clattenburg, our rules expert, and he said if the ball touches any outside object, then the whistle should go and it should be a dropped-ball." #WorldCup
It really is amazing: the govt is openly considering using Korean shipyards to build NAVAL DESTROYERS, but it's supposedly a NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT if the Jones Act were reformed so that US companies could buy/use Korean container ships for US-based trade.
Hamas - a literal terrorist group - started a war by raping and killing 1,200 people and then lost that bitch.
There are "child" (i.e., under 19, including fighters) casualties on their side largely because the group has a formal strategy of hiding behind non-combatants.
I have NEVER - as a professional academic in ~this field - seen a less sympathetic party to a major conflict.
