A pack of aging white guys with maybe a decade left are torching the Earth for a pile of money they will never get to spend, and everyone just shrugs like that is normal.
FUN FACT: We are paying more money for worse versions of ALMOST everything because private equity firms buy up beloved brands, cut product quality to the bone, hike prices to squeeze out margins, and leave a trail of debt-ridden husks behind.

centuries ago the insanely rich used to sponsor libraries, hospitals, arts & science, bc they understood that if they just showed off their excessive wealth w/o giving back they would be hanged & needed the plebes to see their value to society. now they just do shit like this
Nobody is doing anything about the cost of living.
Feel like all these price shifts in the past 5 or so years are going completely unchecked. Bit by bit everything we need to live has quadrupled in price. Bills have quadrupled. Insurance goes up every year. Mortgage rates are never returning to what they once were.
Yet people are arguing about boats of 40 people landing.
Lets ask them if they can bring some rice over.
20% of young people unable to find employment, struggling to survive, but Betty from down the road is getting a pay rise again in her 3 bedroom house she bought for a packet of crisps in 1970. Dreadful stuff.
