@DanCrenshawTX We are not and have not been a net exporter of oil, only when you include bay gas and NGLs are we a net exporter. Releasing 1mm bbls a day from SPR is making a short term difference in price as this is a very inelastic market. But you’re right that it’s an irresponsible bandaid

@generalspacey @joshyoung @JoeBiden Wow, so much wrong with this. We are a net importer of oil by a large degree, we are a net exporter only when factoring in nat gas, ngls and refined products. Since oil is global commodity if we halt exports it create shortages where we otherwise would export increasing prices
