At least human error/indecision in the moment was a reasonable excuse imo. Having every camera angle, taking 5 minutes to check, ruining the atmosphere and flow of the game, and still getting it wrong is awful.

One thing I’d be curious about is how are you defining the four parameters that drive the weighting? Are they purely event-based (location, pressure, outcome etc.) or are you incorporating context such as phase of play or team structure?

Also on the small-sample scouting idea: do you see that as something that complements traditional live scouting, or something that could narrow the shortlist before deeper work begins?

I like the direction of trying to explain the “why” behind actions rather than just counting them. Interested to see where it develops.
