Pedestrians and cyclists. Please keep in mind that when you walk through a deep puddle, or get splashed by a vehicle that you understand that we designed these roads to keep water on the surface as part of storm water management. May the odds ever be in your favour.
One of the best ways to save money and keep taxes low is by developing policies that reduce costly resources. So whenever you hear the word "storm" or "severe", remember to think of cash savings!!!
ICYMI: When 31cm or more of snow or other extreme weather is expected, a Severe Storm Schedule will be implemented for buses on weekdays.

PSA: It will still be very difficult to know the difference between "in service" and "not in service", especially if we get a few more centimeters of snow.
⚠️Train Testing on Line 1 - starting today, December 19, until, December 22, a test train will be running on Line 1. This train will be mixed into regular service but will not be available for boarding. The train will display “Not in Service” signage.
@PricklesThistle@freetransitott@OttTransitRider@ottawacity@OC_Transpo Thanks for the suggestion. I have done transit challenges in the past, however with the next election coming up in a couple of years, I fear the bus won't allow enough time to complete this one. I also try to avoid Orleans when possible, it smells weird. I think its Matt.
We got a lot accomplished this year:
- Bus service cuts
- Fare hikes
- Unmaintained pedestrian infrastructure
I'm proud to be a member of #TeamOttawa and look forward to continued unsustainable governance in 2024.
If you like the child noise you are going to love the noise when you login to our app to find out the bus has been cancelled, never showed. We are always striving to improve service: https://t.co/JSOkwVR6w6
Listen up, we've got music for your ears! When kids 12 and under tap their Child Card on Fare Gates and buses, a new special chime will play. Hear it for yourself 👇
@Laskinator2 Unfortunately with upcoming transit cuts, brakes are quickly becoming a "nice to have feature". Keep your eyes peeled when crossing, it may become more frequent.
Wishing our supreme leader all the best on fulfilling a lifetime goal!
I just wish transit ran as fast as you did to another country! Bring me back a wiener schnitzel.... and maybe a better understanding of sustainable transportation!
It's been a longtime goal of mine to run in the Berlin Marathon and I was originally planning to run in 2019, but it was put off because of work conflicts, COVID, and last year's election. I'm very excited to be running on Sunday, along with thousands of runners from around the world. I'll be travelling to Berlin late this week and will return to the office next Tuesday.
@AndreTheGeek My appologies for the late response. I like to think of this a modern street art. Some love it, some not so much. While in the past repairs would have been properly made, unfortunately the city budget has money dedicated to road repaving and left over get used on pedestrians.
@claireedel Well the good news is that with the upcoming "transit efficiencies" ensuring a boycott will be easier as not many who take transit will be able to access this treasonous business!
