The planned ambush from Sinn Fein, Alliance and the SDLP failed spectacularly. Indeed I suspect most of their supporters will actually be relieved that the law remains unchanged.
It’s worth noting that under the imminent plans proposed by Alliance, SDLP & Sinn Fein to raise the age of criminal responsibility to 14, if a child one day below 14 burnt a house down the PSNI would not even be able to investigate them, as they would have not committed a crime.
