@juneslater17 Not sure if we are importing doctors in Canada, but I know that highly qualified students in Canada are being rejected from med school for indefensible reasons. And if your GP retires, you won’t find another one in your lifetime due to the shortage.
@TaraBull808 Neighbour used to compulsively buy crap at auctions. Got so bad that he bought a few school buses to store all the junk. He was never going to run out of money, but you could tell he needed to fill a hole in his life.
@Dane_Jurasley@phil_kammer@TrumpsHurricane Good point. Though I’m old enough to have learned Imperial before they switched us to Metric. Even my kids think of most things in lbs and feet/inches. The only challenging adjustment for most would be temperature, especially around freezing.
@phil_kammer@TrumpsHurricane Ever since DJT mused of it I have speculated under 2 years. All of my acquaintances think I’m crazy. It will take very little to make this happen.
This arrived today. I have high expectations even though it has neither a foreword nor an endorsement from Philomena Cunk. Nice work @thecoastguy! A quick look at the table of contents and I can’t wait to read it and share it.
@TaraBull808 Our youngest would scream every time her feet were lifted to do a diaper change. Because nothing else seemed to work we took her for chiro. Thought it was a scam because he just put his fingers along her spine and let her bodyweight do the work. 3 visits and she was fixed.
@catturd2@mcuban And still, he would run circles around Canadian Prime Minister Justin (you’ll forgive me if I don’t think much about monetary policy) Turdeau.
@Sports_Spectrum@JasonRomano@Grindkd_55 This might be the best episode ever. KD’s perspective on the trajectory of his life is like nothing I’ve heard. Amazing.
@MakisMD While drawing attention to the sad reality of excess death is important, Anthony Gobert struggled for a long time with substance abuse, and that has been acknowledged as the cause of death.
@KateSmithhsv@EmeraldRobinson Not a choice anyone wants to, or should have to make, but still a choice. I was prepared to lose my job, and in the end, the company acquiesced. To me it was a choice of finances vs freedom. I’ll choose freedom every time.
@ZubyMusic Solo open water swim in Colorado at about 9000 ft. Snow was melting into the reservoir. A little over a mile from shore hypothermia and maybe some O2 deprivation had me quite disoriented. Not sure how close to death I was, but it was perhaps not the most sensible outing.
