Most don't worry about the trees as if it's a low intense burn it only then it will only maybe burn the outer layer of bark. Doing a low intense burn stops the high intense kill all.

@Waddananggu Best way you're going to get to protect these trees is literally what you're doing. If there's nothing left to burn it's no longer under threat and when it's protected during the burn it all helps.

Ex firey here so we used to wet down the trees that were a threat like paperbark.
