@GMB@susannareid100 It is only if you’re work allow it as a bank holiday, self employed won’t get it either unless willing to be off as they won’t be paid.
@macmacbookbook@Jenny_1884 I’m sure many would support local butchers year round but sadly so may cannot afford it. I was £16 for 4 chicken breasts from the butcher last week. Went to Aldi this week and got a whole joint of beef for £14.
@michelle_jevons@GMB Again it’s a business and making money when they can. If you go in May probably half empty and not making money. Hence why the high prices in summer when they are full and can charge higher. I’m not saying this is correct just how businesses operate
@michelle_jevons@GMB You see it as greed however an airline will not be cheap to run if the can fill it in summer for a higher price to accommodate some of their losses outwith term they will. It’s how businesses work.
@michelle_jevons@GMB It’s all about supply and demand though. Cheaper outwith to fill the plane, they can fill the plane many times over in holidays, so charge the higher price to make up for filling the plane outwith school term.
@KathrinaPerry@glurcher@GMB I went to school then and we didn’t have them. I only remember when my children went to school late 90’s 2000 onward.
I do however remember I only went to school at academy on a Monday and Friday due teacher strikes.
@Lauratobin1 We have had this since the 01st of Jan and still haven’t got back to work but it’s only Englands future storm that your interested in. Now it’s started with sleet and it’s turned to ice.
