@KirkDogless The meme confuses Apostles with their successors. Matthias succeeded Judas (Acts 1:20–26). Paul was an Apostle, though not one of the Twelve. Clement and Irenaeus later documented apostolic succession. Both Scripture and history support it.
@KirkDogless Christ founded one Church, not competing churches without Apostolic succession. St. Peter was martyred in Rome, where his successors continued his ministry as the visible head of Christ’s Church on Earth. The Catholic Church didn’t replace Christianity. It is Christianity.
@Mikmag1776@robertomedinah The early Church Fathers documented the teachings and practices handed down to them. St. Irenaeus even explained how Apostolic Tradition was preserved through the succession of bishops (c. A.D. 180). Christianity didn’t disappear between the Apostles and the Reformation.
@Mikmag1776 Christ built His Church upon Peter (Matthew 16:18). St. Peter later preached and was martyred in Rome, where his successors continued his ministry. That is why the See of Rome holds a unique place in the Catholic Church.
@renewingprotest Why do you think a statue of Mary is a god? Catholics don’t think that.
That’s the problem. You accuse Catholics of the very thing you are doing. You called the statue of Mary an idol, therefore you believe it is a god.
Marian statues are not gods.
@residentreformr God created everything out of nothing. He changed water into wine and raised the dead. So why is it so difficult to believe He can change bread and wine into His Body and Blood?
(John 6:55) “For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed.”
@SoliDeoGloria_X Apostolic Tradition. The Catholic faith is founded on Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, both handed down from the Apostles. As St. Paul commanded, hold fast to the traditions taught by word or by letter (2 Thess. 2:15). Christ gave us a Church to preserve and teach the faith
@KirkDogless BiblicaLee doesn’t know Church history. The first 3 hundred years, there wasn’t a New Testament. Read the Bible, read history, read from the post-apostolic fathers. Everything will make sense.
@LeeFoo9@KirkDogless Born Again Christians? 😂🤣
That explains where you are coming from. I am laughing so hard right now.
The Born Again movement only became a thing in the past century, so I don’t think you have a lot of credibility.
Read Church history and educate yourself.
