@GlasNightPhoto No problem. I’m chairman of the organ trust. I can get access weekdays when the hall is not booked or come early/late to an event. Just DM me when it suits. Always loved your photo work!
Was at Pollokshaws Burgh Halls to see a 40th anniversary showing of Highlander. Before the film was shown we had 30 minutes of the Wurlitzer organ being played
@JohnMcKissock I knew quite a few of those extras. The X Ray room was in Level 4 Urology where I worked, and one of Vic's students, John Fraser, went on to study medicine in my wife's year at Glasgow Uni, and now works in Australia - Small world!
@JohnMcKissock I was almost an extra in the movie - I worked at the Western Infirmary when they were filming and they were asking staff to walk through the set on the 4th floor. I unfortunately had to decline as I had some real medical work to do.
Today, we celebrate what would have been the 120th birthday of Reginald Dixon, "Mr. Blackpool," iconic for his Wurlitzer mastery and Blackpool Tower Ballroom residency.
He recorded with us many times in the 1940s, making use of Studio One's Compton organ.

@Givemeabiscuit There’s something about the smokey malts from both Brora and Clynelish that I adore. Brora reopened a couple of years back so we will have some new whisky from there soon. I still have some 83 Brora and it is utterly gorgeous!
@SARTrainDriver @HamishGill@LoveFilmCameras A few - I've had and OM10 or OM20 since 1980! Olympus glass is great. Here's a couple my son shot in Aberdeen recently with the standard 50mm Zuiko on HP5+
@SARTrainDriver @HamishGill@LoveFilmCameras Should you need professional help (ie the camera, not you😂) then speak to these guys. They have worked on several of my oly cameras and really know about all things Olympus. Highly recommended. https://t.co/YM3QE3Wut2
@SARTrainDriver @HamishGill@LoveFilmCameras Yes. It meters off the actual film not the curtain. Mine gives a vague ballpark off the curtain but always seems to meter correctly when finally exposed.
