Max TPS today: 381k TPS 🤘
That is even faster than my own internal tests. A really, really good run today.
Thanks to everyone in the private testing group for participating on a Sunday at the end of December. Really appreciate all your help ❤️
It's good to see my own internal findings confirmed by the larger group.
Now we need more shard groups 🫡
@timanrebel just updated the community - and yeah, this one hits hard. 👇
@radixdlt Hyperscale is back.
• 269k TPS in an internal test - a new record
• Test scripts rewritten to multi-threading, making better use of fewer but stronger nodes on AWS
• First time pushing beyond 40 shards, opening the path toward ~500k TPS
The move from Hetzner to AWS wasn’t planned and caused some delays, but a lot of ground was covered just in the last week.
Next step: a new private test with a larger group of nodes to confirm this setup.
Slowly, carefully, but very real progress. 🦾

Hyperscale is back! 269k TPS during an internal test. A new record!
Rewriting the test scripts to multi-threading, to make use of fewer but more powerful nodes sending transactions, seems to be a good approach on AWS.
This is also the first time we moved beyond 40 shards, which opens the road to 500k TPS 🫡
The move from Hetzner to AWS was unexpected and led to some delays; however, I made significant progress in the last week.
Next up is a new private test to confirm this set up with a larger group of nodes 🦾
Most chains bolt random pieces together and hope they work.
The entire Radix stack was built from from scratch - protocol, consensus, execution, wallets, developer tools.
Experience what happens when everything is designed to work together perfectly. 😉
Small shift in Hyperscale approach 🫡
Last week I kept hitting walls, not because Hyperscale couldn’t keep up, but because the machines sending transactions were underpowered.
So instead of adding more nodes, I’m switching to a few big senders: 4 machines with 48 cores each. I remember Dan doing something similar.
Let’s see how far this gets us.
Good morning Radix fam☕️
First coffee, then code… as usual.
Quick community update:
The first PR was merged into hyperscale-rs by @radixdlt community member.
Why this matters:
•It’s the first external contribution landing in the repo
•Hyperscale is no longer “just core team work”
•From now on, it’s a community-driven effort
In short:
If you care about where this is going - this is your moment to get involved.
We build it together 🚀

Today’s Space with @Adam_XRD + @timanrebel was basically: less hype, more “we’re actually shipping.” ☕️👇
• @radixdlt Wallet MFA Stage 2 is done - big for real self-custody
(lost keys/seed phrases shouldn’t equal instant disaster)
Also makes Radix more attractive for institutions securing client assets
• Adam said Rewards Season 1 distribution contracts are now open-sourced
More info likely coming soon
• Important: to receive Season 0 bonuses, connect all eligible wallets by Dec 17
• Timan: Hyperlane testing continues around ~250k TPS
Infra move to AWS = more Hyperscale tuning
Next challenge: scripts to push beyond current levels
• Also: work ongoing to get Hyperlane assets visible on CoinGecko
If you listened too - what stood out to you most?

Disagree.
Message based VMs like the EVM are inherently unsafe. There are better solutions in the industry for sure.
Protocols exist where blind signing, infinite approvals and revoking are not even a thing.
On ledger MFA, no more seed phrases and native on ledger social recovery exists too.
@timanrebel from @radixdlt provided an overview of the three layers of Hyperscale testing:
1️⃣ Internal tests - controlled environment, low nodes-per-shard, consistent hardware.
Uses commodity machines: 4 cores, 16 GB RAM, 160 GB SSD.
Similar to competitor benchmarks, but performed on everyday hardware.
2️⃣ Private tests - focused on robustness with setups comparable to current validator infrastructure.
3️⃣ Public tests - open to anyone, designed to show whether Hyperscale can operate on diverse hardware globally.
Together these layers give a full picture of performance, resilience, and accessibility.
