While I was admiring the Sturt desert peas today, I could hear budgies, so I went off to investigate. I was pleased to find these charming little parrots in the big trees nearby.
I know it's not Wrensday Wednesday, but I visited the Arid Lands again this afternoon and got some nice shots of the white-winged fairywrens there. Here's one on the ground. Quite a contrast - the electric blue against the red earth.
