Keep your perspective on life bigger than your problems. A flat tire is just a flat tire. A bad meeting is just a bad meeting. Zoom out. Remember the things that gives your life purpose, the memories you've already created, and the years still waiting to unfold.
Something that I’ve learned (like really learned this last year actually) you carry on. Life goes on. Haven’t really talked much about why I left NYC last year, but it rocked my world. I look at love differently. I look at life differently. We act like we have so much time. Like it’s perfectly fine to wait till tomorrow or next week or next year to do the thing or make the move or start the business or tell someone you love them. But time…ha. It waits for no man. Your time here is limited. It is not guaranteed. You very well could be here today and gone tomorrow. You never really know when you’re seeing someone for the last time. It’s already written. And yet we act like it’s not urgent. Like life isn’t urgent. But it is urgent. This really is…it. Do the thing start the business make the move tell them you love them. It’s finite. And shit happens and everything falls apart (more than once) but instead of being terrified of that… you accept it. Let things fall apart and come together and fall apart again. You will be okay. You will carry on. You will be better because of it.
