@thmggwfu 's extraordinary book is freely available open-access -- but we'd love your help in advertising & soliciting hard-copy sales, not for profit but simply to spread the word. Please hit me up if you can help publicize this amazing work! @scsclassics@sentantiq

As we celebrate #Juneteenth, let us keep in mind that African Americans during the Civil War distinguished between *abolishing slavery* and *freeing people.* Many formerly enslaved people did not feel *free* in 1865 and thereafter, and they clearly articulated why. A thread 1/
I'm sorry, @ConsMW, for your rubbish experience on @British_Airways. Posting EU rights as reminder for fellow travelers. Mine fell within the window if you don't count my original flight cancellation, but not if you factor in time wasted waiting for bag. https://t.co/qmUrYqBzeS
@British_Airways shame on you on behalf of 35+ customers on 16 June BA 229 LHR>BWI for losing our bags, claiming they would be on a flight 2 days later, then cancelling that flight and failing to update or provide ETA. Many traveling for days/weeks/months. Apology? Compensation?
@ConsMW@British_Airways@ConsMW what happened with your BA flight? I am heading to Naples via LHR with @British_Airways again on Sunday & already dreading it. At least RyanAir etc are honest about screwing their passengers over! ๐ This missing bag holds 2 months worth of clothes needed for onward trip.
Still no updates from @British_Airways and no customer assistance or ETA on a checked bag that's now been missing for 3 days. Bets on whether or when I'll see it again? Will it arrive before I depart this weekend on another BA flight? Regretting my choice of airline.
@global_classics At the moment we can only advise you to check online for any updates on your bag. Please make sure your contact details and delivery address are up to date too. JulieR
