when the Ranabaali glimpse came out, I got really excited about it. I’m a big fan of period films anyway, and almost everything in that glimpse worked for me. the narration immediately pulled me in, and Ajay Atul’s score gave the whole thing an extra lift.

Arnold Vosloo from The Mummy playing the villain was also such an unexpected casting choice, but honestly a very pleasant surprise.

the only thing I haven’t really connected with so far is the latest song they released. but then again, I’ve only heard it as a standalone song. maybe once I’m actually watching the film and it comes within the narrative, it could work much better. fitting songs into a movie without disturbing the flow is always one of my biggest worries anyway, because that’s genuinely such a hard thing to get right.
