आज कैलिफोर्निया (संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका) के गुरु रविदास मंदिर में भारतीय संविधान के निर्माता, आधुनिक भारत के शिल्पकार एवं शोषितों वंचितों व महिलाओं के मुक्तिदाता, ज्ञान के प्रतीक, विश्व रत्न बाबा साहेब डॉ. भीमराव अम्बेडकर जी की जयंती पर उनकी प्रतिमा का उद्घाटन मेरे लिए एक ऐतिहासिक और भावनात्मक क्षण रहा।

इस अवसर पर उन्हें नमन कर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर विनम्र आदरांजलि दी।

यह मेरे लिए गर्व और सम्मान की बात है कि इस समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में मुझे बाबा साहेब की विचारधारा को अंतरराष्ट्रीय धरती पर नमन करने का अवसर मिला।

बाबा साहेब की विचारधारा सीमाओं में नहीं बंधी—वह आज अमेरिका की धरती पर भी उतनी ही प्रासंगिक है, जितनी भारत में थी और है।

मैं गुरु रविदास मंदिर ट्रस्ट और अमेरिका में रह रहे सभी सामाजिक न्याय के साथियों का धन्यवाद करता हूँ जिन्होंने इस ऐतिहासिक पहल को साकार किया।

यह प्रतिमा नहीं, यह प्रतिकार है। यह पत्थर नहीं, यह परिवर्तन है। यह आदरांजलि नहीं, यह शपथ है – कि हम तब तक नहीं रुकेंगे, जब तक अंतिम व्यक्ति को न्याय न मिले।

मध्य प्रदेश का एक आदमी अपने ऊपर पेशाब कर देने पर भी विरोध नहीं कर पाता पर उसी राज्य के मनोज शर्मा का बाप अपने अफ़सर को चप्पल से पीट देता है, निलंबन की खबर देने आए डाकिए को उसका भाई धमका देता है, उसकी दादी लाइसेंसी बंदूक़ से उस पर फ़ायरिंग कर देती है, मनोज का भाई एमएलए के चमचे को चप्पल से पीट देता है, मनोज जिस लाइब्रेरी में काम करता है, उसके मैनेजर को चप्पल दिखा देता है, टहलते हुए वह रात में कभी डीएसपी तो कभी पिछले आईएएस टॉपर और अब बड़े अफ़सर के घर में घुस जाता है और आपको लगता है कि ये सामान्य बात है।

मनोज शर्मा का नाम मनोज मौर्या या मनोज यादव या मनोज मीणा या मनोज गुर्जर या मनोज जाटव रख दीजिए। #12thFail फ़िल्म नहीं बन पाएगी।

@mumbaiheritage I was there from 1979 till 86 in the center bldg. This ladies were mostly typists, stenographers and telephone operators. They are coming after having great food in the canteen. Amazing memories.
