Observing movements of global leaders and those that can make a difference for the positive. Likes/RTs do not necessarily indicate endorsement of the tweet.
The problem with being entertained is that you don't know what an MOU is and then you waste inordinate amounts of time, you apparently never have, reading and listening to bullshit accounts about what this MOU says and means.
Dopamine addiction is deadly, it fries the mind. Given how few likes this post will get it will prove that last point eloquently.
To everyone so eager to cancel someone for a tattoo they got at age 22, a drunk text, a selfie they took in the middle of a mental health crisis:
Show us your laptop.
Show us your iCloud.
Open your entire digital life to your worst enemy. No context. No filter. No explanation.
You won’t.
You won’t because you know what I know. Any one of us, frozen at our worst moment, photographed in our lowest hour, looks like a monster. Looks like a stranger. Looks like someone who deserves to be cast out.
That is not who we are.
My mom and baby sister were killed in a car accident when I was just a kid. Cancer took my brother Beau, my best friend and my rock. I battled alcoholism. I battled addiction. I chose the coward’s way out more times than I can count.
For years I believed the defining chapters of my life were written by tragedy, loss, and shame.
I no longer believe that.
Pain can shape us. Loss can humble us. Failures can leave scars that never fully fade. But none of them have the authority to define us.
And it sure as hell ain’t the critic that counts.
That authority belongs to us alone-the person in the arena.
Every setback presents a choice. Play the victim, or cut the bullshit and take ownership for who we become next.
Life does not determine our character. It reveals it.
Again and again we are asked the same question. When shit happens, what next?
We are not defined by what happened to us. We are not defined by the worst photo, the worst text, the worst tattoo, the worst night. We are defined by the person we choose to become. And by the courage to choose that person, every single day.
So before you reach for the gavel - show us your laptop.
You won’t.
The whole world saw mine. And I am still here. Still becoming. Still choosing. Still standing.
That is the only definition that matters.
The problem was never Trump.
Trump is the readable version of a text that was always there, written in language most people couldn't access.
The problem is the system that produced him, that uses him, that will survive him, and that will next time find someone equally willing to do what he does but competent enough to do it quietly.
The competent version is more dangerous.
The competent version rebuilds the language. Restores the branding. Hires the speechwriters who know how to say "shared values" and "rules-based order" while executing identical policy.
And the people who spent four years appalled by Trump's vulgarity will feel the relief of good grammar and take it for moral improvement.
The empire doesn't need Trump specifically.
It needed what he provided: a stress test. A period of operation without the usual ideological cover, to see what held and what didn't.
What held: the sanctions. The bases. The vetoes. The dollar. The weapons sales. The regime change operations.
What didn't hold: the manners.
And when someone comes along who can restore the manners while keeping everything else, and they will, they always do, the people who thought the problem was the manners will call it a recovery.
The rest of us will know what it actually is.
Dear FIFA,
You gave the World Cup to a country that bombs stadiums, deports referees, detains players, bans fans, and searches athletes with dogs on the tarmac.
You've been very quiet.
We're concerned. Are you okay? Blink twice if you can hear us.
If anyone knows someone who works in a senior position at Google / YouTube could they get in touch via DM here or via the contact form on our website.
Many thanks
All we did was send our military to the other side of the world, bombed Iran's bridges and elementary schools, then imposed a military blockade to crush their economy and population.
Then, out of nowhere, these deranged monsters shoot one of our peaceful liberatory helicopters.
These people only understand force! They're like from the 8th century.
Moscow's Warning to Tehran:
Peace is Cover for Ground Attack, Pentagon's Plan to End Two-Week Ceasefire
Russia's Security Council, in a shocking statement published by the "TASS" news agency, warned that the United States and Israel are using the cover of diplomacy and peace negotiations to prepare a large-scale ground operation against Iran.
I was in Nagoya and took someone's umbrella by accident from a restaurant.
Realized it two days later when I actually looked at the umbrella - it was way nicer than mine, had initials embroidered on the handle.
I felt horrible. Went back to the restaurant to return it and get mine (if it was even still there).
Explained the situation to the staff in broken Japanese. They didn't have my umbrella, but they took the nice one and said they'd contact the owner.
I left my hotel information in case they wanted to contact me about it.
Three days later, last day of my trip, there's a package at the hotel desk for me.
It's an umbrella. Not my cheap one, a new umbrella, decent quality. With a note in English: "Please accept this umbrella as a gift. Your honesty in returning my umbrella means more than the umbrella itself. Enjoy Japan. - Tanaka"
I tried to find out how to contact them to refuse (it felt like too much) but the hotel said there was no return address.
So now I have an umbrella from a stranger in Nagoya that I got for accidentally stealing their umbrella and then returning it.
I brought it back home to Seattle. I use it all the time. It's a good umbrella.
Still feels weird that someone rewarded me for correcting my own mistake.
@thesiriusreport I still believe that an infrequent but regular long form posts on twitter (with multiple posts) is still a good way to cover such topics
My advice though is not to repeat the 'we've been saying it for years' mantra. Assume each reader is new. People will find you for sure
The incompetent @FIFAWorldCup host humiliates its guests, prevents them from entering the country, and attacks the territory of a sovereign state.
What a disgraceful and dirty circus this has become.
BreakingNews:
Lebanon is joining the war, launching missiles at Israel and specifically Haifa. For the last 3 years, benjamin netanyahu has only carried out wars with no strategy and is losing today all tactical gains he has accumulated throughout the years.
The incompetent @FIFAWorldCup host, USA, is failing to fulfill its responsibilities properly.
We are guests of @FIFAcom, and it is FIFA’s responsibility to ensure that visas for all members are issued.
