@cafreeland How about stopping investment firms from buying so much real estate and then charging our young people so much for rent? I read this practice caused condo rents to go up 50% in Toronto.

Imagine this:
You wake up tomorrow and you’re 20 years younger. You get a redo on the past two decades.
Would you do a few things differently this go-round?
Would you try to wring more out of those years?
If I was 33 again I certainly would!
Here’s the thing…
Right now you ARE the 20-year-younger version of your future self.
What would 2044-you tell 2024-you to do differently?
I bet older-you WOULDN’T say…
Play it safer
Travel less
Spend less time with loved ones
Spend more time inside
Exercise less
Double down on bad habits
Spend more time arguing on social media
⏱️The next 20 years starts… now.
What are you going to do with that time?

So I'm in line at airport security earlier and there's a family in front of me with about 10 kids.
Strollers, balloons, the whole nine. Let's just say things aren't exactly moving quickly.
My mind's instant reaction: Annoyance 😑
Then something else arose within. 👇

In education, whenever a new solution or idea is introduced, it is critiqued as if the status quo is perfect and needs to be preserved. We will dissect new ideas endlessly but won’t prescribe the same treatment to our current models of schooling, which are terribly outdated. 1/2
The less we talked about standardized testing the better our scores got.
When we stopped with homework, kids did more passion projects.
When we quit giving grades the question became “can I try this?” instead of “what did I get?”
What we learn for pleasure we never forget.
