Conflict can deepen and worsen gender inequality. Girls and young women report higher levels of emotional distress and are more likely to feel unsafe because of relentless violence. We’re standing with girls as they call on decision-makers to take immediate action to protect girls in conflict #UniteForPeace #UntilWeAreAllEqual.

This Summit of Solutions, held from October 14-16, 2024, in Addis Ababa, brought together over 300 youth in person and more than 1,000 participants virtually. Together, we are committed to agroecology as a pathway to food sovereignty, climate resilience, and sustainable, just food systems for all.

Dr. Million Belay, AFSA General Coordinator, followed with a keynote speech on the significance of agroecology in transforming #foodsystems across the continent.
The highlight of the opening ceremony was the official speech by H.E. Fitsum Assefa, Ethiopia’s Minister of Planning and Development, who officially declared the summit open.
