@dash_eats Law school gave me a great mental model for the way the world actually works (gov., business, politics, etc). Law provides the structure for our society to function, so understanding that structure can afford insight into how to change things. Totally changed my life. Go for it!
The reason lawyers are increasingly caught relying on hallucinated cases is because most lawyers are technologically illiterate. Once they see how useful AI can be, their instinctive fear is obliterated and then there's nothing holding them back from totally relying on it.
@0x49fa98 Exactly. Like I know you're a better writer, but it doesn't bother me because I'm better at beatboxing and dancing like a faggot when I've had too much to drink. Or, wait, I'm confused.
@bumbadum14 Every single person I knew who joined FedSoc unironically did so because they wanted to go into politics. Everyone who wanted to go into politics finished, without exception, at the bottom of my law school class. Some of the most empty-eyed, incurious people I've ever met.
At night after lying in the bed for long enough that the hairs on my feet are depressed, I hate going to the restroom. When standing in front of the toilet in the pitch black, it feels like spiders are crawling on my toes as the hairs begin to unfold into their natural position
If Bernie's 5% annual wealth tax on billionaires had been enacted in 2012, Elon Musk would be worth less than $365 billion instead of the $834 billion that he's worth today. He'd still be the wealthiest man alive & every senior would have dental, vision & hearing under Medicare.
You must be circumspect in considering NYT posts but, if true, this would be a significant departure from the "rules-based" approach to regime change, which criminalizes entire "regimes".
Allowing for the persistence of regime elements creates an incentive for the regime to compromise. Requiring total capitulation in accordance with the rules-based approach incents total resistance.
The new tacic of the left appears to be maladroit martyrdom.
This year has seen a precipitous rise in these lame attempts at "resistance," which have amounted to little more than suicide by law enforcement. A clumsy idealist who was more concerned with their fantasy than goal.
