2026 World Cup visa/entry issues in the last 48 hours*

Multiple teams, staff, and fans ran into serious travel problems entering the U.S. for the tournament:

*Teams affected:*
- *Switzerland*: Breel Embolo’s visa was reviewed, delayed his arrival with the squad.
- *Iraq*: Aymen Hussein was held for questioning 7 hours at entry.
- *Iran*: Spent days on visa procedures in Türkiye. U.S. only let them in on match days, 15 delegation members denied visas.
- *South Africa*: Arrived late because part of the delegation didn’t get visas.

*Officials:*
- *CAF Referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan*: Denied entry despite diplomatic passport. FIFA confirmed he can’t officiate.

*Fans/supporters:*
- *Scotland*: ESTA-eligible fans had travel authorizations revoked days before flying.
- *Many fans*: Visa rejections after buying tickets/hotels = financial losses.

*Other incidents:*
- *Senegal staff*: Forced shoe removal + lengthy searches, racism accusations.
- *Uzbekistan team*: Searched with bomb-sniffing dogs, footage went viral.

Bottom line: Visa delays, denials, and extra security checks hit players, staff, referees, and fans across multiple countries. That’s why you’re seeing “FIFA FAILED ALREADY” reactions.

A friend came to spend few days with us, she is this picky kind of person when it comes to food.

So one of those many days we were broke and had only beans to eat, I picked the beans, wash and boil to make porridge beans. She came to the kitchen and asked me why I was cooking beans instead, I told her I was low on funds, she hissed and went to the room.
She started crying, I went to meet her and explained I was broke and it’s just beans, we will eat it with bread madam said it’s because I wanted her to leave my house.

I finished cooking and served myself, left hers in the pot, 2hrs later I went to check on her, she was already rolling on the bed with hunger, I didn’t said a word to her. Then I saw a shadow passed me to the kitchen, madam served herself, she ate the beans, cleaned the plate with her bread. Fast forward to this day, this girl eats beans like almost everyday now.
