It’s unacceptable that female and AFAB autistics are more likely to be misdiagnosed with bipolar, depression, anxiety, DID and ADHD than be accurately diagnosed autistic. I doubt that autism is “more prevalent” in males, but would bet that sexism means accurate diagnoses are. 1/

No amount of “therapy”, training, shaming or “tough love” will turn an autistic child into a NT child. Forcing an autistic child into NT behaviours that do not come naturally to them will only make them suffer and believe that a) their pain doesn’t matter and b) they’re inferior.
