June 2025 was a significant month for the Grand Lodge of Ireland, which first met on 24 June 1725, in Dublin ☘️

The Pro Grand Master and a delegation from Grand Lodge visited Dublin last week to attend a range of celebratory events, from the inter-denominational service at St Patrick’s Cathedral to the Tercentenary meeting of the Grand Lodge itself on Tuesday, 24 June 2025. This was followed by a special show in a local arena open to members, their families and guests and a black-tie gala dinner.

A special commemorative plate to mark the occasion was organised and created by the UGLE Maintenance team. 

Congratulations to the Grand Lodge of Ireland on this momentous anniversary! 🇮🇪

In the first instalment, John Thompson joined our hosts to discuss the significance of the UGLE's signing of the Armed Forces Covenant. 

Next, we spoke to Mark Ormrod MBE, Freemason and Veteran, who discussed his experiences serving as a Royal Marine in Iraq and Afghanistan. 

The third instalment saw our hosts travel to the Province of Warwickshire to visit Fisher House, a respite care centre that supports UK military personnel and their families worldwide. 

In the final instalment of our Remembrance Weekend series, we welcomed Kemsley Whittlesea — Veteran, Freemason, tattoo artist, and mental health advocate — to share his remarkable story.
