The Wagie Wojaks
First 100 Days - Day 4
How do you build a movement on Ethereum?
the historical context matters for how something is put into motion. today, it is frequent to see coins coming out on the main launchpads, and jpegs minting on the main platforms. this makes sense - access eyeballs early on, trade-off independence.
we need to break apart from that.
an nft collection with any hope of creating long lasting community of believers can not be reliant on the opensea store front contract. just this past cycle we have seen Foundation, Nifty Gateway, Makersplace and an endless stream of platforms and tools leave the space. it's hard times!! opensea is no doubt a bigger fish, but still. this is capitalism. ANYONE can go under. a movement must be able to outlast the life of individual corporations with their own financial realities.
@wagiewojaks mint and live on their own contract, on eth mainnet. this is a FOUNDATIONAL design choice.
for coins, a similar setup is presented, both last cycle on solana and now more actively on evm chains. the robinhood ecosystem is ethereum's current best bet at building proper staying power in the trader mass market. the vision and execution for that subset seems to be going exceptionally well, in a segment where others like base or even hypeevm have struggled so far. that execution will define the path to massive network effects.
$wagie lives on robinhood, backed by ethereum, fully airdropped. this is a STRATEGIC design choice.
A movement, slowly but surely, needs to build MOTION.
Motion over a shared opinion on something that matters.
The topic here is the future of the crypto space. And of the people working in it. Thus, naturally, we must engage with crypto native communities.
So many have left, but all these wagies are still here.
7 main communities airdropped, 1 shared sentiment.
1) 2,000+ Pepes @pepe__wtf, @NotablePepes, @FakeRares_xcp:
(because there is so many cards holders, filtered by activity on robinhood chain). Pepes have the heart.
2) Hypurrs @Hypurr, @hypurr_co, @loraclexyz: Hypurrs don't trade on coinbase, kraken, binance, bybit... they choose to trade on the evm.
3) Aeons @ProjectAeon3333@spx6900@AeonDubbing: Aeons believe on the real-life altering power of an onchain cult.
4) Neets @neet_sol@theneetguy@neetocracy: the neighbor chain community on a larger than life mission. complete derangement.
5) Tokenworks holders @token_works@Rhynotic@tetonotsorry: FWA holders best represent the nft communities keen on experimenting on mechanisms. jpeg tech like u truly wouldn't believe.
6) Argonauts @argonauts9999@lphaCentauriKid: while very new, I was surprised to see >50% of an artsy community active on robinhood, trying new things and actively cooking.
7) Stonkbrokers @ClutchMarkets@stonkbrokershub: casting massive light on the erc-6551 possibilities when paired with the right tokenomics.
These make the exact combination of values we need represented moving forward.
The Wagie Wojaks 🍟
First 100 Days - Day 1
Dear friends,
as with any serious political movement, the first 100 days in action are essential to properly affect the future.
and make no mistake about it. this is the most INSANE political movement you have been invited to in your short (and still miserable) lifetime.
THIS IS HOW WE WIN.
wtf are the wagie wojaks?
in essence, a fight for the future of this industry.
what's the fundamental thing that crypto has produced over the past decade? new asset creation. what is the current state of new asset creation? absolute fucking dogshit.
WE NEED CHANGE.
the magnitude of this existential risk can't be overstated. there are individuals chasing 50,000 coins DAILY and trying for $20 gains on $38k market caps.
tf are we doing here?
we need a BIBLICAL cleanse.
communities invited through the $wagie airdrop, like neets or aeons, are definitely moving in the right direction. 'we bought a coin and never worked again', 'believe in something'. conviction, concentrated attention, focus on the future. these are the right values. but after deep reflection over the past year, i'm afraid they will not be enough.
we need to go further.
we need to take ACTIVE ACTION.
that's what wagie wojaks bring to the table.
the wagie wojak meme, a wojak wearing a mcdonalds cap and uniform, is probably the most popular and relatable meme that recurringly pops up in crypto circles. we all are, have been, or will be, him. he is ALL OF US. thus, we begin to build from there.
memetics, art, and a shared vision.
believe me, at this point in crypto, NOBODY CARES. nobody cares enough to take action and shape the future. we are a ship DRIFTING at sea, with no captain. a honeypot for any thirsty PIRATE to take over in no time. we are seeing this unfold every few months with our own eyes.
i care enough. wagie wojaks care enough.
this space has given me EVERYTHING. I truly mean that, and not just the PUMPS (also that). those that know me, know it goes beyond that. and I will forever care for it.
frequently, as the chains continue to get ravaged, we hear of some event 'being 9/11 for the trenches'. it's time to revert that.
the launch of the wagie wojaks is 9/11 for the Memecoin Industrial Complex. memes are amazing. memes are quite literally everything. launchpads are destroying what we love.
in the coming weeks, the full vision for our Active Action will unfold. i haven't been more excited about a build since I joined this space a pretty long time ago. we will deliver real change and restore crypto to the way it needs to grow:
rowing all together to reach the promised gold,
not every man for himself while the ship sinks.
if you are a FIGHTING AGE INDIVIDUAL with past experience in onchain WARS,
We need your help.
Stay wagie,
