Hey all, some #Anki add-on news to start the year:
🎊Cloze Overlapper and Pop-up Dictionary now work on Anki 23.12! (→Patreon)
📅 Updates for a few AnkiWeb add-ons coming later this month
👀 Brand new Patreon add-on coming this week!
Check it out: https://t.co/RJ201DAAxg
If you're using Anki to study for exams: 🎉Happy to say that Exam Notifier is now out on AnkiWeb!
It's a nifty add-on that gives you control over card scheduling when the situation calls for it:

@kenwcherry This one was from a simulated test deck, IIRC 😄
I do have some actual ones in that range, though all in German. Still pales in comparison to some collections I've seen where users had decades worth of intervals!
@MWCvitkovic It's not an LLM integration, but for image-based flashcards I've been building RhodopsinAI. There's more on the horizon, though 👀

For those of you who missed it, automated Image Occlusions in #Anki are now a thing! Check it out: https://t.co/wojstXrrzL 🤖🧠

@fedett92 That's the plan! But it could take a bit of time because there are some fundamental technical challenges to work through on Windows & Linux.
@tiptoptm That's the dream! Learning ahead of memorizing is super important, but there's just so much mindless menial work in flashcard creation that would be so much better spent towards actually understanding things, or reviewing them more frequently
For the flashcard nerds, this project by @glutanimate is worth checking out. Give it an image and it automatically creates image occlusion cards for you: https://t.co/zTvB9gdHCD
Eventually you'll just gesture towards anything you want to remember and it'll appear in your Anki
👋 Quick update: Had to move the launch to today due to some bugs that came up in last-minute testing yesterday. Sorry about that one! Will post the YouTube link later today
Exciting times ahead! Join me next Wed in taking the first step into a new future of flashcard making.
