My buddy Mike owes $180,000 in taxes this year.
His CPA told him there are 3 investments worth looking into.
Buy an Airbnb. A qualifying short-term rental with cost segregation and material participation could create significant deductions.
Invest in oil & gas. Certain direct working-interest investments offer substantial upfront tax deductions.
Buy heavy equipment and rent it out. Qualifying equipment may be eligible for 100% bonus depreciation, although passive-loss rules matter.
Obviously, none of these are automatic write-offs, and he’d need a good CPA to structure them correctly.
But here’s what blows my mind.
Some people write a six-figure check to the IRS without ever exploring these options.
Others invest in income-producing assets and legally reduce their taxable income.
If you owed $180K in taxes, which one would you look into first?
SHOCKING: We have confirmed that multiple Neoclouds have been refused access to GTC Berlin due to them adding AMD GPUs, TPUs, and other chips to their cloud offerings
Note that this doesn't apply to hyperscalers, as they have more buying power. But for neoclouds, executives feel NVIDIA has been using high-pressure tactics to keep them NVIDIA-only.
As such, neocloud executives are starting to consider offering TPUs or AMD GPUs quietly to avoid getting pressured by NVIDIA and to avoid the feeling that NVIDIA will retaliate.

Not sure who needs to hear this but....
An LLM doesn't "understand" anything. It is a statistical model that spews out tokens based on probabilities calculated through massive matrix operations and context, not an understanding of the subject matter.

Introducing Drama 3: the most emotive and controllable TTS model in the world
And yes, it's open-weight.
You can now control how even a single word should sound, change its tone, and shift your voice mid-sentence.
Uncle Roger was impressed too.

All the regulations being floated by frontier model companies must be viewed through the lens of them losing tokens to Open-Source models.
The timing of these regulations seems to line up perfectly with Open Source closing the gap significantly (but not completely) — and @nvidia going all in on open source in the last 60 days.
If we’re gonna regulate, why don’t we require that last year’s frontier models and weights be open-sourced?
As far as Nvidia subsidizing everyone. You are right on. But that feeds the credit problem, far beyond oracle.
You never know where an exogenous change is going to come from. This is so analogous to the dot com burst. But instead of IPOs, Nvidia is the “ipo” , funding everyone and anyone.
One breakthrough in another chip provider, or a misstep, and it all could crumble. It’s truly scary.
